Digital Accessibility Statement
At Olsen Metal, we want everyone to have a good experience when visiting our website. We are continuously working towards making olsen-metal.dk accessible to as many users as possible, including those who use assistive technologies such as screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, or screen magnifiers.
What is digital accessibility?
An accessible website is one that allows all visitors to browse and use the content comfortably, regardless of their physical abilities or technology setup. That means you should be able to:
- Navigate using keyboard-only input or voice control
- Use screen readers or Braille displays
- Adjust font sizes, colours, and contrast
- View the site across devices like desktop, tablet, or smartphone
We aim to comply with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.1, level AA.
Our efforts so far
In 2024 and 2025, we made several improvements to make our site more accessible:
- Improved tab navigation so that all interactive elements can be accessed using the keyboard
- Ensured that alt text is added to meaningful images
- Improved heading structure and link descriptions for better screen reader compatibility
- Made font display more consistent and started using font-display: swap to reduce loading delays
- Optimised images based on PageSpeed Insight feedback

Known issues and what we’re working on
We are aware of a few remaining areas where we can improve:
- Some images still need further compression or optimisation
- The font file (Inter Variable) could still affect loading speed on slower connections
- Some JavaScript (from Google Analytics and related tools) adds extra load time, though it is currently necessary for tracking and analytics purposes
We will continue reviewing and improving our website’s performance and accessibility features.
